IFUJI, Oval Box – Cherry #8

Oval boxes are made by Masashi Ifuji, who based Matsumoto, Nagano, Japan. He specializes in creating simple but functional wooden objects, utilizing traditional techniques and minimal forms.

Outer dimension: W14.80″ (376mm) x D10.31″ (262mm) x H6.02″ (153mm)

Inner dimension: W14.29″ (363mm) x D9.64″ (245mm) x H5.43″ (138mm)

Material: American Cherry Wood

Exterior painting and coating: Vegetable based oil, and bee wax (,while the interior remains unfinished in order to take advantage of the natural humidity control of the wood. For this reason, wet or moist items should not be stored in these boxes, as dirt or stains may remain. To maintain, gently rub the oval box with soft dry cloth to get the beautiful shine and keep out of direct sunlight.
