Flowery We Live – Embroidered Little Gardens to Wear
We are excited to announce that Antonia Rossi, an embroidery artist visiting from Bologna, Italy, will be hosting a series of workshops this December.
Whether you are new to embroidery or already enjoy crafting, these workshops offer a warm and inspiring space to create your own amulets, necklaces, and flower-adorned pouches under Antonia’s gentle guidance.
Message from Antonia Rossi
A special gathering for those who love to create with their hands — and with their hearts.
Starting from a curated selection of unique materials — sari silks, precious threads, velvets, and antique linens — each participant will craft a blooming mini-pouch, a tiny garden to carry emotions and seasons with them.
Guided by me in an instinctive and poetic process, you’ll shape silk flowers to embellish your pouch using a free, spontaneous technique that flows from the materials themselves.
No predefined patterns — just listening, composing, and allowing your gesture to bloom.
Class Details: Flower on a Pouch & Necklace
This class includes all materials as well as the linen pouch shown in the photo. You will create the flower that is attached to the pouch in the image below, using unique materials such as sari silks, precious threads, velvets, and antique linens. After making your flower, you will sew it onto the linen pouch to create a one-of-a-kind piece that only you can make. You are also welcome to bring your own fabric items, such as a handkerchief, pillowcase, linen, etc. If you would like to attach your handmade flower to something other than the pouch. After that, you will move on to necklace making. You will learn Antonia’s special method of creating her unique string, and then complete your necklace.

Class Details: Amulet & Necklace
In this class, you will learn how to make a small amulet from scratch. Antonia will guide you through each step, including choosing the fabric, cutting it, attaching beads, and creating the hook, etc. In the second half of the class, you will move on to making the necklace. You will learn her unique method of creating the special string she uses, and then complete the necklace with your amulet attached.
